Mumbai Indians have been crowned as the IPL champions in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019 under the leadership Rohit Sharma and have been outperforming their opponents under pressure for the past few seasons.
Ahead of the 2020 season, MI have traded in Trent Boult from Delhi Capitals to replace Jason Behrendorff as well as allrounder Sherfane Rutherford and pacer Dhawal Kulkarni.
Mayank Markande was allowed to leave for Delhi Capitals for Boult, who was then sold to Rajasthan Royals.
