The IPL 2020 schedule was finally announced on Sunday after much delay. The opening match of IPL 2020 will take place between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on September 19 in Abu Dhabi. The reasons reportedly were the number of coronavirus cases in the Chennai Super Kings camp and the travel permissions between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. However, once all the permissions were given and the Chennai Super Kings’ coronavirus situation improved, the BCCI finally released the schedule. The schedule was initially meant to be announced on Friday but some unknown delay forced the schedule to be announced on Sunday.
