Two wickets in two balls! Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard dismissed Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina in two consecutive balls to help his side storm back into the contest after the former looked like taking the game away from the defending champions' hands along with Moeen Ali.
Chennai Super Kings started slow after losing Ruturaj Gaikwad in the very first over itself, but once both du Plessis and Moeen were set, they took on the Mumbai Indians' bowling and kept smashing and soon they were 100-up in the 11th over.
However, Jasprit Bumrah accounted for Moeen Ali soon after he brought up his fifty. With the new batsman in and Mumbai needing to bowl a couple of overs of the fifth bowler, Kieron Pollard came into the attack and it seemed like it was his day.
The fourth ball of the over, a slower ball, Du Plessis tried to scoop it but no avail as he hit straight into the hands of the short fine-leg fielder. If getting the set batsman wasn't enough, Pollard removed Suresh Raina on the very next ball of the over to see the back of the stalwart of Chennai Super Kings' outfit and CSK were suddenly 116/4 from 112/1 within eight balls.
