Jacques Kallis appointed as batting consultant by Cricket South Africa

They also confirmed that former allrounder Enoch Nkwe as Boucher's assistant coach on Sunday.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the appointment of Jacques Kallis as the national team’s batting consultant on Wednesday (December 18).

“Former Standard Bank Proteas all-rounder, @jacqueskallis75 has been named as the team’s batting consultant for the duration of the summer."

"He will join the squad for their camp starting in Pretoria today (Wednesday),” CSA made the announcement through a tweet.

On Sunday, the country's cricketing board also unveiled the appointment of Mark Boucher as the new head coach of the men's national cricket team on a four-year contract, until 2023.

They also confirmed that former allrounder Enoch Nkwe as Boucher's assistant coach.

"I have brought Boucher on board because I feel he will bring the toughness to turn a young and inexperienced Proteas squad into a battle-ready outfit," Graeme Smith said.

"With his experience of a long career as an international cricketer he has first hand experience of what it takes to succeed in the Test arena."

"I have the highest regard for Enoch as well and I want to create a clear path for him to grow into a top international coach."
