Jasprit Bumrah has had his fair share of struggles in IPL 2022 season so far, however against Kolkata Knight Riders Bumrah was on fire as bowled a 3 wicket maiden over, before recording his career-best IPL figures of 5/10.

Bumrah hunted down Nitish Rana and Andre Russell in the 15th over of KKR's inning, he bowled a triple wicket maiden in the 18th over to turn the momentum in his side's favour. 

Earlier, Bumrah had only managed 5 wickets throughout the ongoing IPL 2022 season, however, he only needed nine balls across two overs to double his tally of wickets for the current campaign.

However, despite the pacer's best-ever T20 effort, he couldn't guide Mumbai to a win as they suffered a demoralising 52-run defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians' struggles continued after the departure of their skipper. While Ishan Kishan played a great knock of 51 off 43 balls, but after he was dismissed by Cummins, there was only one-way traffic as KKR dominated the proceedings thereafter. 

Pat Cummins picked up three wickets, barring a 43-ball 51 from Ishan Kishan, Mumbai batters struggled to get going in the chase as their innings ended at 113 all out in 17.3 overs.

KKR finally played Tim Southee (1/10) and Pat Cummins (3/22) together and the move worked with the seasoned pacers sharing four wickets. Andre Russell too chipped in with a couple of wickets to help his side to a 52-run victory.
