David Warner played only eight matches this season and scored 195 runs including two fifty-plus scores.

David Warner will now be seen playing for Australia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup which will be held in UAE and Oman.

After how things ended between David Warner and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side, it won't be difficult to say that the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 could be his last season playing in the Orange jersey.

The Australian batter was first benched and then even axed as the skipper of SRH and as the game progressed, Warner was sometimes not even seen on the field. Despite all the changes made, and Kane Williamson handed over the captaincy, SRH finished last on the points table with just three wins from 14 matches.

However, after the batter clarified and spoke his side of the story, loyal SRH fans took to Twitter and started trending #NoWarnerNoSRH. They shared a long letter, talking about how the franchise needs to retain the Aussie star despite having a bad phase with the bat.

Read here:

"To our respected and beloved owner, we, the loyal fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad have been supporting this wonderful franchise since its inception in 2013. You have given us a million reasons to be proud of when we think about what a wonderful journey it has been as part of the Orange Army.

"The one reason which makes us the proudest as fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad is a talisman named David Warner from Australia. It will be a lie if one says that he isn't the best player to have played for Sunrisers.

"Warner has gained massive respect and admiration of the Sunrisers Hyderabad fanbase. His aggression on the field and his dynamic attitude gave our team a scintillating outlook. It is this explosive nature of his that resonates the most with us fans. Warner has shown immense dedication and passion towards us fans and the Sunrisers through various gestures. He will always have a special place in our hearts. We all know his amazing records and contributions to SRH. He is without a doubt - the face of this franchise.

"We fans are unaware of the entire saga that has transpired around the sacking of David Warner as captain of our team and his exclusion from our playing 11. We completely understand that the management and coaching staff has to take harsh decisions sometimes based on several team balancing factors. However, it was a hard pill to swallow when we had to see the best player to have even worn SRH jersey stay on the sidelines and at least not be a part of our think tank.

"Whatever the reason may be, we the fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad want the retention of David Warner. Though he has had a bad season with the bat, he will have our complete support forever. I'm sure that with fans constantly by his side and the backing of the management, Warner will be back to his usual run machine form.

"Respected Management, we the fans want you to kindly acknowledge our emotions at this point in time. It has been a tough season for us with many hurdles and the last thing we would want to see is our most loved player leave the team.

"We desperately hope that things get sorted out soon. We want to see Warner go all guns blazing in the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey again. It is with pathos that we pen this letter to you. Thank you, fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad".

Soon fans started circulating the letter and it got viral:

As for Warner, he played only eight matches this season and scored 195 runs including two fifty-plus scores. This was the first time since 2015 that the franchise failed to make it to the playoffs of the tournament.

The batter will now be seen playing for Australia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup which will be held in UAE and Oman.
