Team India fast-bowler Mohammad Shami had a peach of a 2019 and picked up 42 wickets to finish number 1 on the list of highest wicket-taker in One Day International (ODI) cricket.
Shami has been a key part of the Indian squad in the ODI and Test formats of the game this year, bamboozling batsmen with his seam bowling on multiple occasions.
The 29-year-old had a fruitful ICC World Cup 2019 campaign too, finishing second on the list of highest wicket-taker for the 'Men In Blue'.
Shami also bagged a memorable hat-trick against Afghanistan during the tournament and became the 2nd Indian ever achieve this landmark at the event.
Since 2014, this is the second time Shami has finished the year as the highest ODI wicket-taker, knocking 38 wickets to his name last time.
New Zealand's Trent Boult (38 wickets), Lockie Ferguson (35 wickets), Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman (34) and India's Bhuvneshwar Kumar (33) are the other bowlers who closely followed the 'Men In Blue' pacer this year.
