Mohammed Siraj in the first over after tea got India the desired breakthrough as he sent back Dominic Sibley, Haseeb Hameed in just 2 balls. He was on a hat-trick but the English captain Joe Root defended the ball well at Lord's on Day 2 of the second Test.
On the second ball of the 14th over, Siraj bowled a freebie down leg-side, but Sibley went for the flick. The ball went to the on-side in front of the square and Rahul stretched to his right to pouch it. It was surely the start India wanted.
However, Siraj gave India more as on the very next ball, comeback man Haseeb Hameed was sent back to the pavilion.
Hameed was brought in as the replacement of Zak Crawley but he did no contribution as he walked back for a golden duck. Siraj bowled a full and on the off stump, and it looked like an easy forward defence, but Hameed seemed to have played down the wrong line and got beaten on the outside edge.
