Team India's T20 World Cup match will begin when they take on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24.

While the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 is fast approaching and teams are unveiling their new jerseys for the tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had said that Team India would also be sporting a new jersey and the launch of the new jersey will be on October 13.

The BCCI had tweeted saying, "The moment we've all been waiting for! Join us for the big reveal on 13th October only on @mpl_sport. Are you excited?".

And now the shirt sponsors, MPL Sports have shared a picture of the new jersey sporting skipper Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

"This isn't just a Team, they are the pride of India. This isn't just a jersey, it is the blessing of a billion fans. Get ready to cheer for Team India & #ShowYourGame," the tweet read.

BCCI too shared the picture and wrote, "Presenting the Billion Cheers Jersey! The patterns on the jersey are inspired by the billion cheers of the fans". 

As for the World Cup, India is all set to host the tournament in UAE and Oman from October 17. Most teams have already landed in the Middle East and begun their preparations. The warm-up games for the qualifiers to enter Super 12 have already begun.

India will play two warm-up games, one against Australia and one against South Africa. The games are scheduled to be played on October 18 and October 20 with two matches a day.

Their World Cup match will begin when they take on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24. This will be followed by a match against New Zealand on October 31, then Afghanistan on November 3, and two more matches that are still to be decided on November 5 and then November 8.
