The Road to Wrestlemania will begin WWE's first major pay-per-event of the new year – the Royal Rumble 2019. The Royal Rumble is one of the biggest events in the WWE calender and it is well known for its unpredictability.
30 men and 30 women will take part in the two Royal Rumble matches. These matches usually offer surprise entrants, unexpected returns and debuts. WWE often includes some other sporting celebrity to take part in the Royal Rumble.
With the event taking place on Sunday, WWE decided to tease the Indian fans in a Twitter poll whether former India skipper MS Dhoni should enter the Royal Rumble match.
“Countdown to 1️0- Cue the music - Surprise entry to the rumble... @msdhoni India, do you want to see our very own Mahi enter the #RoyalRumble match this Monday?,” they tweeted.
MS Dhoni has unexpectedlly been a part of the WWE conversation after the Cricket World Cup praised him using one of WWE Universal Champions Brock Lesnar's catchphrases.
Paul Heyman, the advocate of Lesnar, replied to the tweet, calling Dhoni ‘amazing’ but cheekily asked for royalty from the ICC for their paraphrasing of his mantra "Eat Sleep Conquer Repeat."
