The fifth International Day of Yoga was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in India and many parts of the world. From icy heights to on board naval ships, personnel of the armed and paramilitary forces carried out yoga exercises. Thousands of young and old joined the various events to mark the day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed asanas along with nearly 30,000 people at an event in Ranchi. Many cricketers too joined in sharing their pictures doing asanas on social media.
However, former Indian captain MS Dhoni is rarely seen taking part in such events. But on Saturday, Dhoni's name was trending on social media. Several cricket fans decided to share pictures of MS Dhoni showing how he practices Yoga even while playing cricket. These pictures showed Dhoni's amazing feats of flexibility during matches and hailed him as a 'true ambassador of Yoga'.
MS Dhoni is currently in England with the team as they look to win the 2019 Cricket World Cup. India take on Afghanistan on Saturday in the their next match.
