Just a month more, and the cricket-crazy nation will be able to enjoy non-stop entertainment as their favourite cricketers will take to field yet again for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

Just a month more, and the cricket-crazy nation will be able to enjoy non-stop entertainment as their favourite cricketers will take to field yet again for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

The 2020 IPL is all set to be played in the UAE from September 19-November 10 and the tournament will run for 53 days. For the first time, the final will be held on a weekday (Tuesday).

While most of the franchises have made sure their team is set after the mini-auction in December last year, many took some exciting uncapped Indian players under their wings.

It remains to see if all these players would make their debuts in the 13th edition of the IPL and leave their mark in the competition.

However, in the recent poll held by DNA web, netizens were asked which young Indian according to them will make a mark this IPL 2020?

It was no surprise to see Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was purchased by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 2.4 crore winnings the poll. Jaiswal is the youngest batsman to score a List A double century as he smashed 203 runs off 154 balls while playing for Mumbai against Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The record innings featured 17 fours and 12 sixes.

He was also the best batsman in the U-19 World Cup which was played earlier this year. The left-handed batsman was the highest run-getter in the tournament. He scored a gritty 88 in the final against the Bangladesh U-19 team, but unfortunately, his innings could not help the drowning Indian clan as Bangladesh lifted the trophy.

Next up, was modern-day leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who was purchased by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) for Rs 2 crore. Bishnoi was the leading wicket-taker in U19 World Cup.

He clinched 17 wickets in just six games, including a 4-wicket haul in the final, which had almost turned the game in India’s favour. He could get a playing opportunity for Punjab in the absence of R Ashwin who was traded to Delhi Capitals (DC).

Following behind in the poll was Devdutt Padikkal who was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 20 lakh. The Karnataka local could be making his debut for RCB after coming off a dream domestic debut season.

Padikkal was the top scorer in both the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His batting style is often compared to that of India's 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh.

Last but not the least was Ishan Porel, who was purchased by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) for Rs 20 lakh. The young cricketer impressed franchises in all three formats of the game at the domestic level. The pacer was instrumental in Bengal’s run to the final of the Ranji Trophy.

It will now be interesting to see if these young stars do get a chance to showcase their talent at the highest level.
