Nidahas Trophy 2018: Dinesh Karthik's last-ball SIX gives India title win against Bangladesh

India survived late drama in a pulsating final to clinch the Twenty20 tri-series after Dinesh Karthik smashed the final ball for a six to secure their thrilling four-wicket victory against a gallant Bangladesh side on Sunday.

He's halfway down the pitch, he reaches the batting crease, with Mahmudullah having taken a couple of steps before deciding there is no single. 

Meanwhile, Karthik picks up the ball, throws it through to Shankar, who fumbles. Mahmudullah starts running now, but the bowler is able to regain control of the ball and runs it to the stumps.

Shardul Thakur has pulled off an amazingly controlled catch on the long on fence. Seeing the tossed up delivery on the stumps, Tamim charges down the track to banish it out of the ground. But he ends up getting more height than distance. It seems as if it just has enough to clear long on, but no. Thakur there judges it and catches it with a leap. After that he keeps his balance to not go beyond the ropes. Seems to have done.

Washington gets another wicket. 

All he does is plant the ball on a length, a shade outside off. Liton therefore thinks he has the room to free his arms and goes for the slog sweep. But the trick here is the slowness of pace. And the preciseness of length. It pitches just before the bat swings, and then bounces over the middle to take the edge. Lovely stuff.
