Not dismissed by RCB bowlers since 2019, Kohli's men break jinx as KL Rahul sent back for 39

The PBKS skipper KL Rahul was dismissed by Shahbaz Ahmed as was sent back after scoring just 39 runs.

The last time KL Rahul was dismissed by any Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowler was way back in 2019 and the franchise knew he was an important wicket when they took on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

And surely, Virat Kohli's men broke the jinx as the PBKS skipper was dismissed by Shahbaz Ahmed as was sent back after scoring just 39 runs.

Considering KL Rahul's imperious record against Bangalore, PBKS were riding on the captain's shoulder, however, the Bangalore franchise know the importance of this wicket.

Taking this wicket, Shahbaz Ahmed broke the partnership between Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. Rahul had shimmied down the wicket to have a go at it. He swung the ball away from his body and an outside edge is induced. Harshal Patel made sure he took a safe catch at short third man.

As for the clash, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) posted 164 runs and lost seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs against Punjab Kings (PBKS). This was the highest score at Sharjah this season.
