Team India opener Prithvi Shaw engraved his name in the record books during India's second Test match against New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday (February 29).
Shaw was in top form for the visitors as he played his aggressive style of cricket, taking on the Kiwi pacers early on in the morning.
Blackcaps skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and invited India to bat first.
In response, Shaw handed India a great start despite losing his partner, Mayank Agarwal, early during the first session of play.
The youngster played some eye-catching strokes and secured his second Test half-century off 61 delivers.
With this, the Mumbai cricketer also becomes the 2nd youngest Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to smash a 50 in Tests in New Zealand.
However, his stay at the crease was cut short right after by Kyle Jamieson who brought an end to Shaw's surging innings of 54 runs off 64 balls just moments before lunch.

The fall of wickets continued when the post-lunch session resumed, with Tim Southee dismissing Virat Kohli (3) and Ajinkya Rahane (7) in quick succession.
Speaking on the topic of Prithvi Shaw's explosive display with the bat, former Team India cricketer VVS Laxman said: "I am very impressed with young Prithvi Shaw. The way he approached his innings after the way he got out in Wellington showed he worked on that. Some of the shots he played, especially through the mid-off region. It shows that he has got tremendous talent and also he can identify what went wrong and rectify that."
