Please refrain from cursing and wishing death to me and my family, says Pakistan's Waqar Younis wife

Pakistan succumbed to a 0-3 loss in the ODIs followed by a 1-2 defeat in the T20I series against England.

The Pakistan cricket team faced a series of defeats in both ODIs and T20Is at the hands of England. Nothing went in favour of the Men in Green as they succumbed to a 0-3 loss in the ODIs followed by a 1-2 defeat in the T20I series as well.

Soon after the series loss, some fans began targetting their bowling coach Waqar Younis and his family. They took to social media and resorted to abusing the players, management members, and even their families.

Waqar's wife Faryal also took to social media and shared a note on her official Twitter handle to request people from being nasty.

Acknowledging that Pakistan's performance was disappointing and the loss was unfortunate, she added that fans should take the loss easy.

"On another note, please refrain from cursing and wishing death to me and my family. It's unfortunate Pakistan lost, really disappointing but honestly, no one needs to be so nasty," she tweeted tagging her husband Waqar Younis.

As for Pakistan's tour of England, they featured in a total of six limited-overs matches but could manage a victory in just one match.

The loss in the ODI series was more disappointing considering England were missing several of their first-choice stars. The host side were playing with a second-string squad and were led by allrounder Ben Stokes.

Pakistan, in the T20I, were better even as England had returned to near-full strength. However, the Three Lions overpowered Pakistan and the visitors had to remain content with a solitary win.
