"It's good to have him in our side as he has shown a lot of promise in various age-group tournaments for KSCA," a Warriors team official told PTI.

Samit was a key member of the Karnataka under-19 team that emerged victorious in this season's Cooch Behar Trophy. Additionally, he showcased his talent by representing KSCA XI against the visiting Lancashire side earlier this year. The Warriors, who were the runners-up in the previous season, will be under the leadership of Karun Nair. Their bowling attack will be further strengthened by the inclusion of India's pace bowler, Prasidh Krishna, who was acquired for Rs 1 lakh.

Nair has been retained by the franchise, while Prasidh recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. He is now focused on making a successful return to top-flight cricket.
