Rishabh Pant is DC's leading run scorer and most-capped player in IPL history.

Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is rumored to be considering a departure from Delhi Capitals before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, as reported by Dainik Jagran. Pant currently holds the record for the most appearances and highest run-scoring player for the franchise. Despite receiving backing from Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly, the report suggests that DC may not retain Pant in the upcoming mega auction.

If Pant is indeed released by DC, the report indicates that his probable destination would be Chennai Super Kings. With the impending retirement of MS Dhoni, CSK is actively seeking an Indian wicket-keeper batsman, making Pant an attractive prospect for the team.

On the flip side, KL Rahul may be on the verge of parting ways with the Lucknow Super Giants. This potential move comes in the wake of criticism from LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka, who publicly criticized the player following his team's devastating loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024.

Rahul, a talented player hailing from Karnataka, made a high-profile move to LSG for a whopping Rs 17 crore during the IPL 2022 mega auction. The 31-year-old has previously showcased his skills with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, representing them in 2013 and 2016. Despite his success with LSG, Rahul has openly expressed his desire to return to his roots and play for his home state team once again.

In the latest IPL season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, under the leadership of Faf du Plessis, secured a spot in the playoffs. However, rumors are circulating that RCB is now in search of an Indian captain. Should they successfully acquire Rahul's services, the cricketing sensation could potentially take on the role of captain for RCB in IPL 2025.
