Riyan Parag shares chat with mother after getting trolled for his performance

Riyan Parag has played 27 matches in the IPL and has scored 328 runs at an average of 19.29 and with the ball he scalped 3 wickets.

With the emergence of social media, everyone has now become a critic. From praising to giving pointers to even criticising, fans have been all over the lives of cricketers.

The critics this time were taking the case of Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Riyan Parag. The cricketer had experienced a poor outing with both bat and ball during his side's first match of IPL Phase 2 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

While he scored just 4 runs, he also produced a disappointing performance with the ball and leaked 16 runs in the solitary over that he bowled.

Soon after, the 19-year-old cricketer was subjected to a few trolls after his performance on social media. Amid all this, the all-rounder shared a message that he received from his mother on Whatsapp.

Taking to Twitter, Parag shared a screenshot of the message where she asked her son to not stop believing in his abilities.

Parag has played 27 matches in the IPL and has scored 328 runs at an average of 19.29. With the ball, the right arm spinner has scalped 3 wickets.

As for the clash, RR beat the Punjab Kings in a last-over thriller. The Punjab Kings needed just 4 runs off the last over, however, pacer Kartik Tyagi did not let them get the victory and Punjab had only scored just a solitary run in the 20th over, handing Rajasthan victory by 2 runs.

The Sanju Samso-led side are currently placed 5th on the IPL points table and have won 4 out of the 8 matches. They will next be seen in action on September 25 and face table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC).
