The scene was truly spectacular as Team India's victory parade commenced on the bustling streets of Mumbai, with players proudly waving the tri-colour and expressing gratitude to the fans with joined hands. The highlight of the event was Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma showcasing the trophy together, amidst thunderous cheers.

Despite the drizzle in the city, the enthusiasm to welcome the champions overshadowed any discomfort caused by the inclement weather. Fans eagerly waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the superstars who had just returned from the Caribbean, ending an 11-year drought of an ICC title.

The open bus parade, starting from Nariman Point and heading towards the iconic Wankhede Stadium, was a sight to behold. As the parade traversed Marine Drive, players were amazed by the sea of fans lining the roads to greet them.

Virat Kohli captured the moment on his phone, while other players snapped selfies, clearly overwhelmed by the electrifying atmosphere following their T20 World Cup victory in West Indies.

While fans and players reveled in the joyous occasion, the Mumbai Police ensured strict measures were in place to guarantee the safety and security of all spectators.

Earlier, the Mumbai airport welcomed the Men in Blue with a red carpet reception, followed by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony at the terminal adorned in the colours of the tricolour. The team members rode in beautifully decorated buggies, accompanied by the traditional sounds of Maharashtrian dhol-tasha, tutari, and lezim, creating a grand arrival that filled the hearts of the nation with pride and happiness.
