Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar came with his family to vote in Bandra during the ongoing fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Monday (29 April).
The cricketer along with his wife Anjali Tendulkar and kids - daughter Sara Tendulkar and son Arjun Tendulkar - were at the polling centre number 203 in Bandra. Sara and Arjun were the first time voters in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to press outside the polling centre, Sachin Tendulkar said, "I think that every citizen should come out and vote. It is very important for our country. This is the first voting opportunity for Sara and Arjun, so I brought them along".
The legend took to Twitter to express how special this year's voting has been for him.
An average 29.93 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 2 pm in Maharashtra's 17 seats on Monday as polling for the fourth and last phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state was underway.
