The coronavirus outbreak has got the world to a standstill. In a bid to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the World Health Organization's (WHO) has come up with the Safe Hands challenge.
Celebrities are taking to social media to encourage hand hygiene and joining them is legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has also joined the movement.
In the video shared on Instagram, Tendulkar begins by speaking to his followers about the dangers of the COVID-19 virus.
He is then seen washing hands for twenty seconds, as has been advised by the WHO.

The Master Blaster also took to Twitter and shared a video urging fellow countrymen to act responsibly and follow the guidelines issued by the health authorities.
“As citizens, we have to act responsibly. We could follow simple steps to keep the coronavirus at bay. It is my request to everyone to follow basic guidelines to try our best to ensure we all stay safe,” Tendulkar tweeted.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had also expressed concern over the coronavirus outbreak and called upon the countrymen to take all preventive steps.
As of now, 147 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in India and three lives have been lost.
