Bollywood starlet Shah Rukh Khan, the possessor of IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, divulged. For those late to the party, KKR plays his third IPL final after seven years.
In 2012 and 2014 KKR had lifted trophies under Gautam Gambhir leadership. Led by Eoin Morgan having been peculiarly good in the second phase of the season, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured in the final by defeating Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2.
With the super finale only hours aside, fans of Shah Rukh and Kolkata Knight Riders dig out an old tweet by the Bollywood actor who was asked by a fan throughout one of the #ASKSRK sessions earlier this year. "Bhai KKR cup layegi na is baar".
To which SRK gladly replied, "I hope so. I want to start drinking coffee in that only!"
It will be interesting to see how KKR will play out against Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK). When the two teams lock horns for the Dussehra clash on Friday night.
The two teams have had drastic campaigns as they made it to the final. While CSK made it to the top 4 with ease, KKR struggled, especially after they had won just two games in the India leg.
As for the clash, while CSK is playing their 9th final in 12 IPL seasons (with the side being suspended for 2 seasons), KKR, on the other hand, is playing their third final, having never lost a summit clash before.
