The Kerala cricket team are currently warming up and will be leaving for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 2.
However, in the ongoing warm-up of the Kerala cricket team, Sreesanth has given his fans plenty to cheer. In the video uploaded by the Kerala Cricket Association, Sreesanth was at his aggressive best and he sledged a couple of batsmen as he was showing signs of his brilliance. Sreesanth also picked up a couple of wickets, which showed that he had not changed.
Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament set to begin
The Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament will be played on January 10 and it will be the first major Indian tournament that will be played amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The entire domestic season has been derailed in India due to the coronavirus. Kerala are in Group E along with Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai and Puducherry. All the matches will be held in the Mumbai bio-bubble. Kerala will open their campaign on January 11 against Mumbai.

Karnataka are the two-time champions of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy having won in 2019 and 2020. Karnataka won the 2020 Trophy by beating Tamil Nadu by one run in a tense encounter. Ahmedabad will host the knock-out matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, with the new Motera stadium playing host to a packed international and domestic calendar for India in 2021.
Sreesanth would be aiming to stake a claim for the Indian cricket team with his performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. It may be a long shot but there is a chance in case of a good performance.
