Team India reached the World Test Championship Final at Lord's after beating England 3-1 | BCCI

India by the virtue of this win topped the World Test Championship (WTC) points table and have reached the final to be played at Lord's in June

India have finally and officially reached the final of the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) to be played at the Lord's in June this year. India will face New Zealand in the summit clash and qualified on Saturday after beating England in the fourth and final Test of the series to win it by 3-1.

With the win in the final game, India took their points tally to 520 out of the 720 contested and with 72.2 percentage of points (PCT) India qualified for the WTC final as the table toppers. New Zealand, with 70.00 PCT, were the first team to qualify for the Lord's date after Australia's away series against South Africa was postponed.

New Zealand, who will be playing two Tests against England before the final that kicks of on June 18, will have a dress rehearsal before the big dance. While Indian team will be going after the completion of the IPL season around the end of May or the first week of June.

India didn't have a great start to the series against England after the 2-1 heist against Australia in Australia as England won the first game comprehensively by 227 runs. India came back strongly and won the last three games by 317 runs, 10 wickets and an innings and 25 runs to win the series 3-1 and fix the date with New Zealand, who beat them 2-0 in their own conditions last year.
