Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shaw have been put in isolation after breaching bio-security protocols.

While cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shaw have been put in isolation as a precautionary measure after breaching Cricket Australia's bio-security protocols, a new issue has surfaced surrounding the Hitman.

While the cricketers were slammed for not following corona-related rules, an unverified photo of the bill paid by the cricket fan further fuelled the fire as one of the items ordered had a mention of beef dish.

Soon, Twitterati took it upon themselves to take several digs at the cricketers for their choice of food and the main accused was the Hitman.

Some keyboard warriors even called Rohit Sharma a 'hypocrite' for being vocal about animal rights and then conveniently 'consuming' beef at an Australian restaurant, however, there are some who have supported the batsman as there is no proof of the latter claim. They even started the trend #IStandWithRohit soon after the cricketer was accused.

After being made aware of the fan interaction, the BCCI started investigating the matter. The players might have breached the bio-bubble due to COVID-19 and it remains to be seen what happens next.

The five players will be kept separate from the broader Indian and Australian squads when travelling and at the training venue. They will, however, be permitted to train in accordance with protocols that have been put in place.
