When Portugal star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo made it clear that he isn't a fan of carbonated soft drinks and removed two bottles of Coca-Cola kept in front of him at Monday's Euro 2020 press conference, fans were seen pouring out praises for him.
However, when the same did not happen with Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, fans were left disheartened. Ronaldo after removing the Coca-Cola bottles in front of him encouraged people to drink water instead. The 36-year-old's move backfired as the beverage manufacturing giants incurred losses.
While Ronaldo’s act became the biggest talking point, India captain Virat Kohli, found himself in a similar situation. It was during the pre-World Test Championship (WTC) final press conference and the table had two more Coke bottles placed right in front of him.
However, Kohli, who is a big fan of Ronaldo, did not do what the footballer had done and that left fans disappointed.
As for the WTC Final, eyes would be on Kohli as the batsman has not smashed a century since 2019. Meanwhile, not a single ball was bowled on the opening day of the inaugural WTC final.
Ageas Bowl, Southampton on Friday saw rain playing a spoilsport and the forecast for the rest of the days is of rain which would not be a piece of good news for fans.
