India pacer Jasprit Bumrah ended all speculations after he got married to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa on Monday (March 15). The wedding was a close-knit affair and was attended by the family and friends of the couple.
Bumrah also took to Twitter to announced his marriage to the world and said, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you."
Soon after the photos were out, Indian cricketers started pouring in wishes for the newly-wed couple on social media. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and many others commented on his Instagram handle.
Kohli wrote, "Congratulations and God bless you both. Much love" while Shikhar Dhawan wished the two a happy married life.
Members of the team currently playing in Ahmedabad also replied to the photo with best wishes.
Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble and legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh replied to Bumrah's and congratulated him.
Bumrah had decided to opt-out of the fourth and final Test and the ongoing T20I series against England. He will not be part of the ODI series as well. As for the series, India won the Test to clinch the series 3-1 and enter the final of the World Test Championship. In the T20I, it is currently levelled at 1-1.
