Virat Kohli, who on Tuesday became the fastest ODI captain to reach 3000 runs, was left shell-shocked when he was clean-bowled by leg-spinner Adil Rashid. Kohli was batting comfortably on 71 runs when Rashid bowled a beautiful leg-break to dislodge his stumps.
Kohli was in prime form, when Rashid pitched a ball near off-stump which turned wickedly and took Kohli’s off-stump. The skipper, who is not one to beaten with such ease, looked absolutely shocked by what went down and started at the pitch for a moment before departing, scarecely believing what had just happened.
This is the first time in 200 ODI innings and 112 Test nnings that Kohli was bowled by a leg spinner.
And to make matters, he soon got Raina as well in the same over.
