The Australians kept every foot right during the Perth Test as they made a spirited comeback in the second game after losing the first Test by 31 runs at the Adelaide Oval.

Tim Paine-led side defeated India by 146 runs in the second Test and hence made the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) even more interesting as the series is levelled at 1-1.

The Aussies dominated in all the departments as their spinner and Man of the Match, Nathan Lyon claimed eight wickets in the Test and a patient knock from No. 3 Usman Khawaja in the second innings set the tone for the hosts.

The repeated failure of the Indian openers helped Australia's cause and in addition to that, the Indians read the pitch wrong and their poor team selection eventually ended up in Australia's favour.

There were a few heated moments, everything in the line though, when the rival captains Virat Kohli and Paine got involved banters. However, the Perth Test will more be remembered for the on-field heated argument between Indian cricketers, Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, who came in as a substitute fielder.

Meanwhile, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, while commentating for Channel 7, pointed out that things got a bit heated up between Ishant and Jadeja.

"Who knows what they're talking about, it does seem very animated, there's lots of finger pointing. Things have obviously got a little bit heated between these two," Ponting said.

According to a leading cricket website, the argument was in regards to the field placement.

Both the Indian cricketers crossed each other several times and they also pointed fingers at one another before they sort of came close and things didn't look fine. They had to be separated by Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav.
