Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was greeted with a hero's welcome in Ahmedabad following Team India's triumphant victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. Bumrah had just returned home after the jubilant celebrations in Mumbai on Thursday, July 4.

Accompanied by his Indian teammates, Bumrah touched down in Delhi on a special Air India chartered flight organized by the BCCI, after being stranded in Barbados for three days due to Hurricane Beryl. Upon arrival in Delhi, the Team India players had a breakfast meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before heading to Mumbai for a grand victory parade.

Following the festivities in Mumbai, the players dispersed to their respective homes to continue the celebrations with their loved ones. Bumrah, in particular, was welcomed back to his residence in Ahmedabad with open arms by his neighbors.

A heartwarming video capturing the moment Bumrah stepped out of his car and embraced his mother quickly went viral on social media, showcasing the overwhelming support and admiration he received from his community. The scene was further enhanced by his neighbors showering him with flower petals and snapping photos to commemorate the occasion.

The 30-year-old was rightfully named Player of the Tournament for his exceptional bowling performance throughout the recently concluded edition of the T20 World Cup. In 8 matches, Bumrah took an impressive 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy rate of 4.17.
