Both the wicketkeepers - Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant have been creative with their sledging so far in the Border-Gavaskar series.
After Paine sledged Pant in India's first innings in the ongoing third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the Indian keeper went one step ahead on Friday.
On Day three of the Test, Pant was once again chirpy behind the stumps and when Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja was bowling to Paine, Pant was heard on the stump mic suggesting a strategic field placement in order to confuse
Paine to the Indian skipper and Virat Kohli immediately obliged.

This is something the Indian fans are used to seeing MS Dhoni do and the when Pant emulated the former Indian Test wicketkeeper, it certainly brought a rush of nostalgia to the Indian cricket fans.
This was not the first time this series Pant reminded everyone of Dhoni in the whites.
Earlier in the series in the first Test, Pant was seen instructing an experienced Ravichandran Ashwin on how to bowl.
On Day two of the Adelaide Test, Pant was heard saying on the stump mic, ” Ye chhoti ball ka wait kar raha hai bas, chhota nahi dena isko.” The young wicketkeeper was heard saying that during the 54th over.
