However, prior to this joyous occasion, reports surfaced last week regarding a tense atmosphere in the Pakistan team dressing room between Babar and Shaheen Afridi. This tension arose following their defeat against Sri Lanka in the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup on September 14, which ultimately led to their elimination from the tournament.

The videos of Shaheen's wedding, which quickly became viral on social media, captured a heartwarming moment between the two players as they warmly greeted each other, exchanging hugs and laughter. Notably, Babar took to X platform to extend his congratulations to Shaheen on his marriage to Ansha.

On Tuesday, Shaheen also posted a photo with Babar with the caption "family" along with the heart emoji.

Shaheen and Ansha solemnized their marriage in Karachi on Friday. To celebrate their union, the couple graciously hosted a reception at DHA Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. The event was graced by the presence of numerous esteemed members of the Pakistan cricket team.

Furthermore, a senior member of the Pakistan team categorically refuted any rumors regarding a verbal altercation between Babar and Shaheen following their unfortunate exit from the Asia Cup.

“The team’s sole focus is on cricket, and we are not concerned about the critics. Losing a match gives our critics an opportunity to voice their opinions, but these are merely negative speculations,” the player was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Pakistan is set to embark on a journey to India to partake in the highly anticipated ODI World Cup. Their quest for glory will commence with a thrilling encounter against the Netherlands in Hyderabad on October 6, following exhilarating warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia.
