St Lucia Kings captain Faf du Plessis smashed his first CPL century against the Dwayne Bravo-led St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Three-time champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and two-time winners of the Champions League T20, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are one of the most popular franchise teams not just in India but around the world as overseas players are too connected to the team and its emotion.

West Indies and star CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who is currently leading the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) expressed his love for the IPL franchise along with his CSK teammate Faf du Plessis, who was the captain of the opposite team St Lucia Kings.

Bravo won the toss and before answering what he wanted to do, he and du Plessis combined to sing the team song, " We are Chennai boys and making all the noise wherever we go" as both burst into laughter after the same.

Bravo and du Plessis, who will be reuniting in 15 days time for the men in yellow in the second phase of the 2021 IPL in the UAE from September 19 were in opposite teams and it was the Kings skipper du Plessis, who had the last laugh as he led his side to their third victory of the season.

Faf du Plessis played his career-best innings of 120* off just 60 balls in T20s in just first century in franchise cricket as Kings put a mammoth total of 224 runs on the board as the skipper was ably supported by Roston Chase, who followed up his magnificent innings of 85 runs in the previous game with another fifty.

The scoreboard pressure proved to be too much for the table-toppers as, despite Evin Lewis' 75-run hand, the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were bowled out for just 124 and faced their first defeat of this year's campaign having won five out of five games.

Kings with this win jumped to second place from fifth in the points table.
