The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled the line-ups for the highly anticipated Duleep Trophy, set to kick off on September 5. This tournament will showcase four formidable teams - Team A, Team B, Team C, and Team D - led by the talented captains Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shreyas Iyer, respectively. These teams will engage in a thrilling round-robin competition, facing off against each other in a battle for supremacy. The team that emerges victorious at the end of this intense showdown will be crowned the ultimate champion.
The squads boast an impressive array of cricketing talent, with standout players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Prasidh Krishna showcasing their skills. However, star players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah have not been included in the squads.
Exciting matches are set to take place in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh, and at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Players who are part of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai will be substituted in the subsequent rounds, ensuring a dynamic and competitive playing field as determined by the BCCI.

It has been more than a decade since Virat Kohli last appeared in domestic cricket. However, this should come as no surprise, considering his significant contributions to Team India over the years. As one of the most important players for the Men in Blue, who are among the busiest sides in international cricket, Kohli's focus has understandably been on representing his country at the highest level.
Kohli's last domestic match was a Ranji Trophy game for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh, during which he scored 14 and 43 runs.
Rohit Sharma: India Blue vs India Red, 2016
Rohit Sharma's most recent domestic cricket appearance was in September 2016 during the Duleep Trophy while representing India Blue. He achieved scores of 0 and 32 not out in the match against India Red. His last game for Mumbai was in the 2015/16 Ranji Trophy season against Uttar Pradesh, where he scored an impressive 113 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah: Gujarat vs Jharkhand, 2017
Jasprit Bumrah's most recent domestic match took place during the 2016/17 Ranji Trophy season, where he represented Gujarat against Jharkhand in January 2017. In this match, he achieved impressive figures of 6/29.
