Less than a fortnight after a son of a Delhi Police Head Constable was stabbed for not giving way to a group of bikers in south Delhi, in yet another incident of road rage, a 55-year-old property dealer, whose car brushed past an auto rickshaw in south Delhi's Safdarjung area, was thrashed by two men at a petrol pump.

The violence was captured in a CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump and police are trying to identify the miscreants. The video shows that none of the petrol pump employees or passersby stopped to intervene or help the victim.

According to the police, the incident took place when the victim, Saleem, who was driving towards Safdarjung area, hit an autorickshaw near a traffic signal. "Not realising the magnitude, he drove away, unaware that the autorickshaw was following him. When Saleem parked his car at a petrol pump to get it refuelled, two occupants from the autorickshaw got down and started thrashing Saleem. After sometime when passersby started gathering at the spot, the assailants fled," said a senior police officer.

Police are now examining the CCTV footage of the incident to identify the accused and witnesses and those who were present there on the spot are also being questioned, police said.

This, however, is not the only incident of road rage reported recently from Delhi. Last week, a 21-year-old man was killed and his brother was injured.
