Delhi Assembly elections result 2013: Ex-BJP candidate who contested with Congress blames anti-Congress wave for his defeat

Balli, a four-time MLA from Delhi's Hari Nagar constituency had quit the BJP to contest on a Congress ticket after the BJP decided to let the Akali Dal field a candidate from the Hari Nagar constituency.

Former BJP candidate who joined Congress,  HS Balli faced defeat in Delhi's Hari Nagar constituency. He blames the anti-Congress wave for being washed away.

“I have suffered a defeat because of the anti-Congress wave. I have been washed away,” HS Balli told dna’s Rohinee Singh.

Balli, a four-time MLA from Delhi's Hari Nagar constituency had quit the BJP to contest on a Congress ticket after the BJP decided to let the Akali Dal field a candidate from the Hari Nagar constituency.

Unfortunately for Balli, who had won the previous four times on a BJP ticket, was defeated by the Aam Aadmi Party candidate Jagdeep Singh.

Congress seems to have lost the game in Delhi. BJP and AAP are frontrunners in the battleground now. Sheila Dikshit resigned ending her 15 years rule in Delhi.
