Member of Legislative Assembly, Noida, Pankaj Singh met the family members of the girl, who committed suicide at her residence in sector 52 on Sunday. Singh assured that he will provide all possible help to them in the investigation. The family requested Singh for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in this case.
During his visit, Singh said that the incident was a lesson for all and whenever any child complains about anything, parents and school must react immediately.
"Like in this case, the family ignored her complaints earlier and later when they went to complain to the principal, he allegedly didn't listen. Parents should create such an environment for their children that they tell them everything," said Pankaj Singh.
He further said that teachers and parents should not pressurise the children, and should rather support them for their passion.
"I will speak to the SSP about this matter and request him to reveal the facts and probe the matter quickly," said Singh.
"The family requested Singh that a fair probe should take place and the CBI should investigate the case. We have met the legal advisor who had got justice for Pradhyuman. We will hold a candle march demanding justice for her also," said the victim's father.
According to a senior police officer, they are contemplating on constituting a special investigating team to probe the matter as the case pertains to two states - the scene of the crime which is the girl's residence in Noida and the school against which the allegations are made in Mayur Vihar.
On Wednesday, the 16-year-old girl was found hanging at her residence in sector 52 of Noida. Her parents have alleged that the school teachers had sexually harassed their daughter and deliberately failed her in her annual exams.
Noida Police filed an FIR against two teachers and the principal under the IPC Sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 354 (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and POCSO Act. However, Noida Police have not got any concrete evidence yet and are still investigating the matter.
