Delhiites woke up to a cold and misty morning on Sunday with the minimum temperature settling at 12.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
Smoke mixed with mist and fog persisted in the morning, the meteorology department said, adding that the humidity level recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 87 per cent.
The weatherman, however, predicted clear skies throughout the day.
"The skies will remain clear and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 29 degrees Celsius," the official said.
The day before on Saturday, minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 15 and 29.2 degrees Celsius.
The smog, however, continues to linger in the air making it unsafe for breathing. Delhi's air quality reached 'severe plus emergency' level on Thursday, the day after Diwali.
