Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta on Tuesday, threw his weight behind Transport Secretary Varsha Joshi who was ‘pulled up’ by transport minister Kailash Gahlot few days ago. During the House proceedings, Gupta also demanded cancellation of the proposal and apology from Gahlot for “humiliating and irritating the lady officer known for integrity and efficiency”.  The Bharatiya Janata Party leader also asked the Kejriwal government to explain the need to acquire low floor buses, stating that the project smacked of corruption.

The LOP also said, “AAP is hypocritical with regard to honour and dignity of ladies. Whereas CM Arvind Kejriwal speaks of honour and safety of women, his Ministers  leave no stone unturned in humiliating, harassing and mentally torturing senior woman  Officer.” He also alleged that the Delhi Government was running a scam under the garb of low floor buses.
