A minor from the northeastern state of Manipur was allegedly raped here Friday night and the accused has been arrested, police said Saturday.
The 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Munirka in south Delhi at around 10.30 pm Friday. The girl later registered a complaint with the police. She is currently undergoing medical tests at the Safdarjung hospital here. "The minor girl from Manipur was repeatedly raped for four hours," informs activist Binalakshmi Nepram.
"It’s unfortunate and shameful that rapes are still happening, that too in a posh colony," commented Barkha Singh. "The girl is out of danger and safe. This is a very sensitive matter," she adds.
