The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) is launching a programme for curing anaemic children studying in NDMC schools, potentially benefiting seven lakh kids in these schools.

“We are launching this initiative for curing anaemic children studying in North Delhi Municipal Corporation schools. The initiative will also focus on steps for precaution steps so that these children do not become anaemic in future,” said Preety Aggarwal, mayor of NDMC.

While speaking at the 4th Edition of India Health & Wellness Summit And Awards in the Capital on Thursday, Aggarwal said that the programme will be implemented with the help of nurses working in government hospitals who will go house to house and treat the children.
