New market coming up at Kashmere Gate, 150 people to get jobs

The market currently under construction near Gate No. 1 of the station will provide job opportunities to around 150 people particularly to Tibetans and people of trans-Himalayan regions.

Kashmere gate Metro station will soon be abuzz with more people flocking to the place as a new monastery market will be inaugurated here. The market which has been named as 'USP Monastery Market' is the brainchild of Delhi-based businessman Lobsing Tenzin Bhutia who has tied up with Parsvnath developers to set it up.

The market currently under construction near Gate No. 1 of the station will provide job opportunities to around 150 people particularly to Tibetans and people of trans-Himalayan regions. The name of the market 'USP Monastery Market' stands for Unity, Strength and Prosperity that has been kept intentionally.

Till now, the only place in Delhi where thousands of Tibetan refugees live and run businesses is 'Majnu ka tila' and with this market coming up, there will be more opportunities and variety of stuff available to people. The market will also have a restaurant and a coffee shop for visitors, CCTV cameras will be installed to keep all the activities under strict surveillance.
