Rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra wrote a letter in his blood to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday, complaining against the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) decision to allot two landfill sites in ecologically fragile Yamuna floodplains.

He asked DDA, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Environment Department to oppose the decision.

"The proposed landfills will pollute the river and poison groundwater. The decision will affect the lives of more than 25 lakh people. If the government and departments do not oppose the decision, I will go on a fast unto death from May 5," wrote Mishra.

Mishra, who was earlier holding the charge of Delhi Water Minister was removed after he claimed to have witnessed Kejriwal accepting Rs 2 crore from senior party leader Satyendar Jain.

Meanwhile, the AAP government also filed a petition before NGT to strike down the decision. The party said that the landfill sites fall under Yamuna floodplains and would cause irreversible ecological imbalance and health hazard in nearby residential areas.
