The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said Sunday that it had collected the Rs.20 crore it had targeted for the Delhi assembly polls and said it needed no more money for this election.

"AAP had set a target of Rs.20 crores to ensure that the party has all the resources to fight Delhi elections," AAP said in a statement.

"And we are happy to inform that our donation target for Delhi elections has been achieved."

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal thanked people for the overwhelming support.

"We don't need any more money for Delhi elections. A big thank you to all donors," said Kejriwal.

Any donations received now onwards would be used for future activities, he said.

AAP promised to take care of the "hard earned money (people) have given for changing the dirty system.

"We want to reiterate our resolve that every single paisa given by you will be used legally and for just purposes in fighting corruption."

AAP reiterated that its financial records were open for all to see. "Every single paisa received and spent is recorded."
