Wrong turn: Four injured after Honda City rams into a water cannon in Central Delhi

Prima facie it appears that the driver of the car lost balance and rammed in the water cannon which was parked on the road.

Four persons including a woman were injured after the car they were travelling in rammed in a water cannon in Central Delhi's Parliament Street area on Sunday morning. Prima facie it appears that the driver of the car lost balance and rammed in the water cannon which was parked on the road.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 5:10 pm. The victims were identified as Arun, Krishan, Priyanka and Pintu, residents of Govindpuri area. They were heading towards Bangla Sahib Gurudwara when the incident happened. At the roundabout close to Parliament street police station their Honda city, which was being driven in the wrong lane hit the bumper of a Wagon-R which was taking a left turn. "In order to save himself and the occupant of the Wagon-R car, the driver turned the steering after which it rammed in the water cannon parked on the side of the road," said a senior police officer.

By the time the police officers reached the location, the injured had been rushed to the hospital. One of them was discharged after receiving first aid while two of them sustained fractures, but all are out of danger and stable.
