Meet IFS officer Anisha Tomar who got AIR 94 in UPSC in her third attempt

More than 10 lakh students appear for UPSC every year. Clearing this exam is not child’s play as it requires hard work, planned studies, determination and dedication. Keeping yourself positive during this whole journey is a big challenge. But IAS Anisha Tomar didn’t fail to do so. Even after failing twice in a row, she stayed positive and fulfilled her dream in her third attempt. Let us tell you her success tips.

Anisha was a very good student since childhood. She was intelligent and smart from the beginning. After 12th, she did engineering from Punjab University. During her graduation, she made up her mind to go to UPSC. 

After completing her graduation, she started preparing for the same. Firstly, Anisha prepared the study material as per UPSC syllabus. She then made a timetable and started preparing for the exam. However, her journey was not so easy as it required hard work with patience. 

Anisha failed in the UPSC pre-exam in her first attempt. She again made a second attempt and this time she reached the mains. Reaching the mains increased her confidence and she started feeling that her strategy is working now. She believed in herself and kept herself positive. Anisha continued to work hard without thinking too much, according to her strategy with patience. And in her third attempt, she finally secured All India Rank 94 and became an IAS.

Anisha says that if you want to get success in UPSC, then continuously you have to work hard with patience and that too for a long time. She believes that you have to move step by step to reach your destination. According to Anisha, one should learn from his/her every failure and perform better by learning from mistakes.
