In a big update for CBSE students, all those who do not appear for online classes, pre-board and half-yearly examinations will be considered absent and will fail. The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) has prepared a circular for the same according to which, the Board has made it clear that students missing online classes, pre-board and half-yearly examinations in the 2020-21 session will be considered absent. Whether such students will get the option to appear for the examination will be in the hands of the Board.
The circular sent by CBSE to schools said that students who were not in touch with the school throughout the year and did not appear for any school examination and did not even attend online classes should be considered absent. Schools should ensure that the results of students shouldn't be released due to absenteeism.
Data of every child for online classes, pre-board and half-yearly examinations is available with the school management. In such a case, if a student is missing from the online class, pre-board and half-yearly examinations, the student will be considered absent, said Ranveer Singh, Regional Director, CBSE (Uttarakhand).
As lakhs of students across the country are waiting for the declaration of CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 results, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed the regional officials to visit CBSE affiliated schools to ensure that the guidelines issued by the CBSE for preparing Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 results are implemented effectively by the schools.
“In order to have actual information of the result work of the schools, it may be ensured that while visiting the schools, no prior intimation be given to the schools and only sudden inspection is carried out. For completing this responsibility, it is necessary that all the officials involved in this work get themselves fully accustomed to the Tabulation policy of the Board,” said the official notice issued by the CBSE.
It is learnt that the CBSE has directed its officials to conduct the inspection in such a way that all the categories of schools like Private, Kendriya Vidyalas, and Navodaya Vidyala is covered.
The officials have been asked by the CBSE to submit the report by July 12, 2021. It is to be noted that the CBSE is expected to announce CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 result on July 15 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 result are expected to be released on July 31.
