CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 CANCELLATION: Latest UPDATES students must know

In a letter, the Class 12 students have urged the SC to direct the government to provide alternative assessment schemes for board exams.

Amid growing demand for the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, around 300 Class 12 students sent a letter petition to Chief Justice of India NV Ramana to quash the CBSE's decision to hold physical conduct of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 amid the rising coronavirus cases in the country.

In the letter, the students have urged the apex court to direct the government to provide alternative assessment schemes for Class 12 students.

According to reports, the CBSE is planning to conduct Class 12 board exams 2021 from July 15 to August 26. The CBSE is expected to take a final decision on this matter after a review meeting on June 1. It is to be noted that the CBSE has proposed to conduct exams between July 15 and August 26 and declare the result in September.

Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had urged states to suggest ideas related to holding the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 by May 25. “I have requested the State Governments to send me their detailed suggestions by 25th May,” the education minister said after the meeting. 

In a related development, Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said on Tuesday, “CBSE board examinations should be conducted as it plays a vital role in students’ life. However, this can’t happen amid the current situation. But a tentative date should be announced. There is also an option of online examination.”

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education released a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the alternate policy for marks tabulation for CBSE Board Exam Class 10 2021 results on Monday (May 24). 

The FAQs for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results contains the questions related to the assessment criteria, assessment in foreign schools, co-opting of teachers and several other important issues.
