In a significant development, CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathy on Thursday (June 3) said that the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 would be declared before August. Notably, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 were cancelled on June 1 due to rising coronavirus cases after a meeting held by PM Narendra Modi.
“Higher education institutions and foreign varsities conduct admissions around August. We are trying to bring out the Class 12 CBSE board exam results before that,” Tripathy said.
“CBSE is working on finalising the marking criteria for Class 12. We will take suggestions from schools and students. Making the evaluation criteria will take some time,” he said. According to Tripathy, the process to finalise the evaluation criteria for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 may take two weeks.
On Thursday (June 3), the Supreme Court had asked CBSE and CISCE to place on record objective criteria for assessment of marks in two weeks.
The policy will be ready for evaluation within about 10 to 15 days. It is up to the board to prepare an assessment policy that is beneficial to the students of class 12. This policy will be for both theory and practical exams. Once the policy is prepared, it will be sent to the schools.
Based on the policy, the school will proceed with the evaluation work. Sufficient time of two weeks have been given to the boards – CBSE and CISCE to provide the evaluation criteria of class 12.
